If you drew a 10 mile circle around the Jesuit Bend Fill-A-Sack, a convenience store in Jesuit Bend (who's restaurant is actually known as "Lil Lee's") it would certainly be the best restaurant in that area. Their gumbo is the best in the Belle Chasse area, maybe on the Westbank, and their fried seafood is very good too. They have daily lunch specials, the best of which are on Fridays when they have barbecue shrimp and jambalaya. They also have steak on Thursdays for areound $10. If you're passing through around lunch time you definitely should try it.

This is about as hidden a gem as you can find. A restaurant attached to a gas station in the middle of nowhere in south Louisiana - this may not sound promising to most people. However, "most people" would be dead wrong in this case. This restaurant is probably the best lunch spot I've found on the West Bank thus far. A large menu, fresh food made to order, good prices, friendly service, and, surprisingly cool decor make this place a great find. I had the white beans with fried chicken which was one of the daily specials - so delicious! The lunch came with bread, salad, and a drink in addition to the giant plate of food. Probably necessary calories if you're a worker on a rig or refinery like many of the patrons - probably grossly excessive those with more sedentary occupations. My recommendation would be to either eat only half of what you order or work out immediately beforehand. Then again, who am I kidding? This is Louisiana- just "enjoy yoself"

This place is called Little Lees or something like that on the outside. Dirty cheap and great food on the inside. I got the special roast with mashed potatoes and green beans. mashed potatoes tasted like instant and beans were from a can. the roast was great though. i will def go back as i am in that area for work a lot. i will get a sandwich next time though. lots of local workers. place has a hometown local feel (but in a gas station). cool place.

Although the service here is sometimes less than friendly, and the food is a bit pricey, they can get away with it, as they are the ONLY place in the immediate area that sells this quality of food. They sell food that would hold its own in the City of New Orleans. I eat here often. Each day of the week there is a different lunch special. I LOVE the tuna on Fridays. Its best to call ahead cause the wait can be a bit long. The checkout line usually moves fast in the mornings as plant workers do not like to wait. You can be in and out before the song on the radio ends.

What a find! I was pleasently surprised by Lil Lees. Upon arrival, parking was tough. The restaurant is a bit bigger then I expected, but it was also much more crowded then I expected too. The lunch rush is no joke. I had a group of 9 and we were fortunate that the only large table opened up the same time we showed up. You start off by placing your order up front. They'll give you a ticket and then you head out to the counter in the convenience store to pay your ticket. Seemed a bit odd, but they make it work and the lines seemed to move pretty quick considering how busy they were. The lunch specials seem like the way to go. I got the Gumbalaya. It was jambalaya with gumbo poured on top. It also had a side salad and 6 big fried shrimp on the side. De-lic-ous. The side salad was bad. Just a small bowl of lettuce with some cherry tomatos on top. Seemed odd considering how great the rest of the food was. I will definitely go back. Pros: Quick service, delicious food Cons: Parking sucked, chincy side salad

Great food. It was a group of us who went for a sort of last day on the job dinner for one of the guys. I had the roast beef on bun. All I can say is the juiciest roast need sandwich ever. And not ya average brown gravy. It was the natural cook juices from the meat. Delicious and I can't stress that enough. The other guys had different meals and all looked good and tastes good according to them.

The restaurant portion goes by the name Lil Lees. The best place to eat lunch downriver from Belle Chasse.
